very good service from Reykjavik Rent a Car. very welcome. I was lucky enough to have a brand new Lancruiser (50 kms), very comfortable vehicle for 4 passengers and lots of luggage.

As we did already six years ago, we booked directly and got the car we wanted including the insurances needed in the highland. I asked some technical questions by phone and got the answers without problems. The service was excellent; returning was no problem (one glass of the front lights had got hit by a stone).

Would give 5 star if you could rent with 0 excess for smaller fee. Then you wouldn't have to check the car before and after.

Si nous revenons en Islande, nous relouerons sans hésiter dans cette agence. Nous avons été très satisfaits du véhicule. L'agence nous a remis exactement le modèle que nous voulions et qui correspondait à nos besoins. Je ne mets pas 5 étoiles car nous avons trouvé l'accueil un peu rapide, on ne nous a pas expliqué grand chose. Nous avons dû réclamer les informations qui nous semblaient indispensables pour la conduite du 4X4 ( passage aux différentes options 4X4 ...) et nous avons bien senti que ça les embêtait. Lors d'un contrôle du véhicule avant le départ, nous avons signalé à l'agence qu'un pneu avant était crevé, la réparation a été faite immédiatement mais était-ce à nous de le vérifier ? L'agence nous a vaguement parlé d'un péage, où ? Nous n'avons pas vraiment compris et, en rendant le véhicule, nous avons eu la désagréable surprise de devoir payer une amnede de 3 ou 4 fois le prix initial du péage, qui devait être réglé par internet avant le passage ou dans les heures qui suivent. Je pense que l'agence devrait être plus claire, vérifier que les clients ont bien compris et surtout remettre un document écrit pour préciser les modalités de règlement et l'emplacement de ce péage : Akureyri. Après avoir payé, nous avons remarqué une affiche dans l'agence mais trop tard. Une roue arrière a crevé pendant le séjour, mon mari a réussi à gérer le problème, nous avons pu rejoindre un garage avec la roue de secours et acheter un autre pneu ( le pneu était fichu), nous avons remis la facture à l'agence qui a recrédité notre carte bancaire sur le champ.

Effective service. We rented twice. The second time just for a day and last minute. They found a car and got a discount considering we were already their client.

I took a premium insurance withe the car. Made me feel sure and took away a bit some stress about possible extra costs when returning. A got the car at the headoffice in Reykjavik. Had to take the bus and walk 15 min to get there. I had gps but cause of a whole lot of constructions going on on the streets I had to pass, I was in doubt I was going the right way and had to call the agency to confirm I was going the right way. This was a bit stressfull, a note on the website would have helped me out better. Also i missed info on the site on how to get there with public transport. But I guess most people pick up the car at the airport, so they don’t have to worry about this. Car was great, service when I returned the car was fine aswell. So i am a happy customer!

We have had a great experience with this company. Everything went perfect. Easy to find, nice and professional staff,good car..can't complain at all. We would defo use them again if we come back to Iceland.

All the experience with the company was perfect, the guarantee for the car was returned on the card by the moment we arrived back home .
